Villa Primavera

At 220 square meters (2370 square feet) Villa Primavera was completed in 7 months.  With 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, the house serves a small family well.  The 3-lobed freeform pool provides a very shallow entry, ideal for young children and the mechanical equipment occupies the space below the pool-side kiosk.  Perched comfortably atop a limestone cliff outside the Dominican Republic’s North Coast village of Cabrera, all rooms face the sea across the broad beach below.  Maintenance-free Caribbean living was the goal, right down to the paint-free exterior finish of white cement, sand and a coloring of powdered caleche.  The entire site was planned at the same time as the villa.  Specimen gardens, pool, walkways, beach access and privacy plantings were all incorporated into the original plan.
